Recently launched in Southern California as part of their mission to serve as many families as possible , Jill’s House Lake Arrowhead strives to give your child experiences every child deserves, regardless of their disability.
It is their hope that with camp respite weekends, they are able to serve more families and children who need the gift of respite. They are excited to see your child take part in activities, like roasting marshmallows, taking hikes, trying a canoe ride, and having a vibrant weekend full of singing and joy while you and the rest of your family enjoy some much-needed respite.
Who? – Camps are open to children, ages 6 to 17 (and their siblings), who are interested in new, fun opportunities!
What? – Jill’s House camps allow your child to spend a weekend away meeting new friends, trying fun and exciting activities and gaining independence in an exciting, safe environment. These camp weekends involve various activities which can include – nature hikes, ropes courses, swimming and archery…just to name a few!
When? – Year round, Jill’s House Lake Arrowhead will be offering this program up to 1-2 weekends per month! You drop off your child at a specified location on Friday evening and pick them up on Sunday afternoon.
Where? – In the greater Los Angeles area, the Jill’s House Lake Arrowhead program enjoys Thousand Pines Camp in Crestline, CA near Lake Arrowhead. This camp meets their safety – and fun! — standards. In case of emergency, each location is near a medical center, and nurses are on hand at camp around the clock to ensure your child’s safety is always put first.
