Camp Crescent Moon

sickle cell camp Camp Crescent Moon is the nation’s first & oldest summer camp for children with sickle cell disease between the ages of 7-14 years.  It is the only sickle cell camp in Southern California – specifically for children with sickle cell diseases.

Since 1967, campers have learned more about sickle cell disease, coping strategies, and standing up for themselves when they are misunderstood because of their disease.  Camp Crescent Moon maintains a camper to staff ratio of 2:1
